Preschool Group
3 – 4 Years

At three and four, children are ready for more: an early learning foundation in literacy, numbers, and social skills, taught through play in a small group where every child is known.

What we focus on

  • Early literacy and numbers. Stories, letters, counting and sorting woven into play rather than drilled.
  • Friendships and feelings. Sharing, taking turns and naming big feelings — the social skills school will ask for.
  • Creative expression. Painting, music and movement games that build confidence as well as skills.

Questions parents ask

What does a typical day look like for my child?

Our daily schedule includes structured learning, creative play, outdoor time, nutritious meals, naps, and enrichment activities like arts and crafts, music, dancing, and storytime.

Do you take the children outside?

Yes! Weather permitting, we offer daily outdoor play in our secure backyard, along with short nature walks and group activities.

Do children get screen time?

Children under two have no screen time, as Washington child care licensing requires. For older children, we limit screen time to educational purposes, including guided storytelling and interactive learning.

Do you accept children with developmental delays or special needs?

Yes, we welcome children of all abilities and work with families to accommodate specific needs.

What parents say

March 2026
“My 3½-year-old has been attending Kidoheaven for almost four months, and we’ve had a wonderful experience. All the teachers have been incredibly kind, patient, and supportive. When my son first started, he was struggling with some social and emotional behaviors as well as fine motor skills. …”

“We recently started sending our 3-year-old to this new daycare, and I honestly feel like we struck gold. The teacher is amazing—super patient, caring, and on top of every little detail (she probably has mom-level superpowers, I swear). The toys are all brand new (which means no mystery sticky spots—hallelujah!), the lunches are legit feasts, and nap time? Let’s just say my son sleeps better there than at home! …”
